Centre Wellington to Designate Four Areas for Heritage Registry

Centre Wellington has intended to designate four areas to be part of the Heritage Registry.

101 St Andrew Street West in Fergus is among them which was the site for early economic development which housed local establishments and the Imperial Bank of Canada for over 50 years and a law firm for 36 years with the property first built 1880.

250 Union Street in Fergus was first constructed in 1890 with a history with the Presbyterian church and matriarchal community.

6717 Sixth Line in Belwood has a rich history for Centre Wellingtons agricultural history with 177 Chalmers Street in Elora being a piece of early European settlement in Centre Wellington.
