Wellington County OPP are warning residents of continued investment scams after a Centre Wellington resident lost $600.
On September 9th a resident was called by a scammer stating the victim had an investment from three years ago worth $3 million.
The scammer told the victim they needed to give their account information, banking info, phone number and a face scan.
A short time later the victim noticed $600 was taken from their account.
OPP are urging to the public to always be alert and educated to reduce the risk of being a victim of fraud.
