Centre Wellington holding workshop for Prospective Politicans

April 21st Event in Fergus is targeted at potential candidates, their spouses and partners or anyone interesting in learning more about local government.

Centre Wellington is holding an upcoming Free Workshop to educate those residents thinking about running in the upcoming Municipal Election on the roles and resposibilities of being a Councillor.

The event on Thursday, April 21st at 7pm will be at Aboyne Hall at the Wellington County Museum and Archives in Fergus.

The Speakers at the event include John Mascarin, partner at Law Firm Aird & Berlis LLP, and Lynda White, who was born and raised in Fergus and became involved in Municipal Politics in 1993. She was last elected Warden in 2004. She retired in 2018.

They say the people that should attend are potential candidates, their spouses and partners or anyone interesting in learning more about local government.

No registration is required to attend. All are welcome.
