Central Huron has earned three awards for some local projects.
Angela Smith writing in a release two projects which were started by her, the Huron Student Honey and Back Alley Artist Extravaganza won awards at the 65th Economic Developers Council of Ontario’s Annual Convention.
Huron Student Honey was an initiative which saw students and seniors come together and learn more about honey bees and process and make their own honey. The project won the EDCO’s Rural Excellency Award and the Lieutenant-Governor’s Award.
Of the 88 projects, Huron Student Honey took the top honours.
Back Alley Artist Extravaganza, which features outdoor art paintings by residents which age in range from 9 months to 97 years won second place in the Tourist Attraction & Tourism Product Development category.
