The election campaign is now underway as Mark Carney has called an election as he was widely expected to.
A five week campaign has been launched, the shortest allowed under Canadian law with Canadians heading to the polls on April 28th.
Advanced polls are expected to be open over the Easter long weekend.
A total of 343 seats are up for grabs in Parliament after the last electoral district redistribution. Carney, who does not hold a seat in the House of Commons will be running in the Nepean riding.
