A suspect has been caught with the assistance of the Canine Unit in West Perth.
Yesterday just before 11pm the Perth County OPP received a report of a suspicious person at a residence on Line 36 in the Municipality of West Perth. The suspect had kicked in the door of the residence and then fled on foot.
The Perth County OPP assisted by the Emergency Response Team and the Canine Unit located the suspect after tracking them for approximately four kilometres.
As a result a 38 year old male of West Perth has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, trespassing at night and mischief.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at a Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges.
