The Canadian Trucking Alliance has spoken out against a protest of a convoy of truckers set to leave British Columbia on their way to Ottawa.

The truckers will be joined alongside other drivers who are protesting against a vaccine mandate required for truckers to be fully vaccinated to cross the Canada-US border.

The Trucking Alliance writing in a statement they do not support and disapprove any protests on public roadways, bridges and highways.

They add such actions which interfere with public safety are not how disagreements with government policies should be expressed.

Protest organizers remain unmoved saying the mandate is political overreach and has resulted in economic harm, damaging small business and deny some workers the means to survive.
