The Canadian Chamber of Commerce issued an open letter on Friday to Federal Labour Minister Steve MacKinnon and Jean-Yves Duclos, Minster of Public Service and Procurement on the current strike by the Union of Canadian Postal Workers.
In the letter it says the strike is yet another blow to supply chains, with a disproportionate impact on Canadian entrepreneurs and small businesses engaged in e-commerce, many of whom count on Canada Post a lot during the holiday season.
They urged both ministers to immediately intervene and resolve the dispute, adding that we cannot make Canadians continue to pay the price of inaction.
