The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is turning to St Marys officials for more help to defend the area against vandalism and theft.
$30,000 has been requested from the town for field repairs, new security cameras as well as an upgraded storage shed.
Among the reasons for this request stem back to various acts of vandalism including in January when deep tire marks were found on King Field, one of the four ball diamonds the hall of fame maintains.
The hall of fame was able to raise $15,000 in crowdfunding earlier in the year and with the support from the town can move forward with these additions and repairs.
It’s expected a decision will be made by council in April.
