Concerns have continued to be raised by Moorefield residents regarding the change to mail delivery.
Following this, Mapleton Mayor Gregg Davidson met with Canada Post to advocate for the community and ensure a solution could be found.
Since then, Canada Post has now agreed to work with the township to identify one or two community mailbox locations in Moorefield.
This will include having one near the seniors residence and ensure mail service is more convenient, accessible and positioned to meet the community’s future growth.
Township staff will be working with Canada Post over the coming weeks to find ideal locations with installation expected in September or October.
