Canada Looking Into Flights from India After New Variant Discovered

Variant labeled as B.1.617 has reported a case in Quebec

 

Canada’s top doctor says the federal government is looking into international flights coming from India following the countries massive surge in COVID-19 numbers and reported new variant.

The variant labeled as B.1.617 has its first reported case out of Quebec, which the provinces health unit reported on Wednesday.

India recorded almost 300,000 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with 2000 COVID-19 related deaths.
