Call leads to Impaired Driver Arrest in Puslinch Township

Public is asked to always report drivers they suspect are impaired by drugs or alcohol

Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver on Niska Road in Puslinch Township.

Upon arrival officers spoke with a driver of a blue passenger vehicle and formed the opinion that they were impaired by alcohol. The driver was transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.

A 48 year old male of Guelph has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle 80 plus and impaired operation alcohol and drugs contrary to the criminal code.

A 90 day license suspension and 7 day vehicle impoundment was also initiated as per the statue.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Guelph Court on January 26th to answer to the charges.
