Bulk foods offers both cost and environmental savings

Study shows packaging accounts for 25% of cost

In these days of disposable packaging being on nearly there are options for your food and ingredients that are more environmentally friendly. I spoke with Kim Dullard from “In The Bag Bulk Food Products” here in Listowel about ways that buying in bulk both saves you money and saves the environment.

“The advantages are that you buy only what you need. There is a study that shows 25% of the price of the item goes towards packaging.”

I also asked Kim how Covid 19 precautions have changed the way she operates.

“I have to doall of the scooping all of the products. No one is allowed to scoop their own product”
