Bruce Power and Westario are joining together alongside the provincial government to get more electric vehicles on the road across Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties.
Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson, Westario Power Board Chair George Bridge and Westario Power CEO Jenny Alfandary announced a Memorandum of Understanding to focus on offsetting carbon emissions.
The agreement could pay dividends for residents within the area as well as potential incentives to encourage using electric vehicles, though no specifics have yet been provided.
The agreement follows Bruce Power’s carbon offset program announcement in the company’s commitment to reducing and offsetting carbon emissions.
