Helping get more doctors locally in Listowel all begins with showcasing what local healthcare has to offer and that’s exactly what the Fisher Clinic expansion hopes to accomplish.

With construction looming, fundraising has been key to reach the goal of recruitment and retention and Brett and the Ravelle family have made a donation of $50,000 in support of the Fisher Clinic expansion in town and is encouraging other local businesses to get involved.

Ravelle says with an upgraded clinic it will make it much easier for hospital staff to bring in new doctors.

“The hope is to get it completed so when you bring a doctor to town and tour them around and say ‘this is where you are, here’s your brand new facility!” said Ravelle.

The expansion will include 50 parking spaces, spots for an electric charge station, a private registration area and space for physicians, nurse practitioners and resident program.

Construction is expected to start in March next year and last 12 months.

Those looking to show their support and give back are encouraged to donate to the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation.
