Bomb Threat Clears Listowel Walmart Plaza

Perth County OPP have charged a Howick resident after a report of a bomb threat on May 5th.

OPP responded at around 10:30pm to a Mitchell Road South address in Listowel which cleared out the Walmart plaza in town after a report of a bomb threat.

Police were able to determine the bomb threat was nothing more than a hoax with the plaza cleared out and businesses reopened.

As a result a 31 year old from Howick was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Public Mischief.

The accused was released from custody and will appear in Stratford court on June 12th.
