Boating season is coming to an end at the Belwood Lake Conservation Area for the year.

The Grand River Conservation Authority says the boat launch at the conservation area will be out of service as of September 25th.

The long dry conditions over August and this month has resulted in a reduction of GRCA reservoir inflows with a Level 2 low water condition declaration in effect for parts of the Grand River watershed.

Based on the current rate of reservoir decline, water levels are projected to reach an elevation of 417.60m by September 25th.

Boaters and cottagers are advised to have plans to remove their boats before the 25th.
