The community of Blyth isn’t letting Covid 19 be the Grinch of their Festive Celebrations. Annie Sparling of the Blyth Betterment Group says they have lots planned for the weeks leading up to Christmas.

“We are doing a live stream of our Lighting of the Lights. The Blyth Festival Theatre for that only will be lighting the theatre in red and green lights so it will glow.”

“We are also doing a Community Christmas Tree. We are in front of the Blyth Festival Theatre. Families are invited to make an ornament and share it with the community on the tree.”

The Blyth Tree Lighting will be Friday, December 4th at 7pm.

The stream will be hosted on the Blyth Community Betterment Groups Facebook Page.

Community tree ornaments can also be hung on the Christmas tree being placed in front of Memorial Hall.
