It was another big year for Minto’s Economic & Community Development Department.
2023 saw there was 95 events organized and put on by the series of committees which Belinda Wick Graham did take note of that this is not sustainable as they look get a better handle on it.
It was also another big year in general for the town with a series of grand openings for business in town for 2023 and as Caitlyn Turton says, there is more businesses to be welcomed this year.
“Since we started doing our grand openings we’ve had 84 with 11 grand openings last year and we’ll be having some more in May” said Turton.
The Think Minto First program also saw a big year in terms of fundraising with $43,459 in gift certificates sold to local businesses with $3334 raised for local charities in 2023.
