A family skate being held on Family Day in Ayton at the arena in town is going above and beyond by its organizers to support the Children’s Health Foundation.
Being helped organized by 9 year old Koni and 5 year old Ada, the family is inviting everyone out to a free skate and support if they can.
Koni was born with hydronephrosis and has had two surgeries throughout his life. Ada has recently been dealing with her own line of health issues but both keep positive outlooks throughout their whole journey.
Rebecca Brodrecht says the entire day goes back to support so much.
“Children’s Health Foundation directly supports children’s hospitals, London Health Science Centre, Thames Valley Children’s Centre and the Children’s Health Research Institute” said Brodrecht.
The family day skate will run from 4-5pm with those taking part being able to buy bags of popcorn and cotton candy which will go back to supporting the Children’s Health Foundation.
Koni and Ada’s fundraising goal has been set to $1000 and is just shy of reaching its goal.
