The Atwood Lions President Michael McCourt can’t say enough nice things about the Municipality of North Perth Council and how they assisted the Atwood Lions in regards to the handling of the issues surrounding the insurance deficiency realized at the Atwood Outdoor Rink.
“We certainly appreciate the town and stepping in and making it a facility of the town’s like any other. It has insurance coverage that it needs to have so that was the root of the problem.
The way forward with the rink in terms of operations is a Volunteer Committee of Council. It can consist of interested residents who wish to assist with the flooding and upkeep of the rink and keep the valuable community resource going.
