The Atwood Lions returned to North Perth council regarding an expansion in Lions Park with a pathway as part of beautification growth.
The Lions are looking to provide a walking pathway to enjoy the trees at the park and have a connecting link between the community centre, playground, pavilion and pool.
The walkway would be made of stone, pavers or a similar material, complete with lighting, public park friendly shrubs and possible fountains.
Tyler Martin from the Atwood Lions says this overall is just a great addition to the area.
“The purpose of the pathway is to provide a nice path to walk on, enjoy the trees and the park and the connecting link between the facilities. It also brings people the opportunity to enjoy the nature in the park.” said Martin.
Council has approved the request pending in principal of the municipalities donation policy.
The Lions will continue forward with things such as a budget for the project.
