A Listowel man is getting the chance to represent Canada in South Carolina as part of the Ultimate Long Drive Championship Series.
The long drive has been running since 2017 complete with divisions for all ages and abilities.
Ashton Nichol was among those who had heard of the event over Instagram with a few events being held in Ontario where he played well and got some extra training.
Nichol then went over the country for different events leading up to a phone call where he got the news he’d be part of Team Canada.
Nichol says when he got that phone call to represent Canada, he says it was overwhelming.
“It was pretty surreal, I didn’t know what to think at the time, I was just jumping for joy, I couldn’t believe that I did that. It was pretty exciting.” said Nichol.
The Ultimate Long Drive Competition will take place in South Carolina running from October 1st-4th.
