In April the unemployment rate for the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region decreased by half a percent point from 6.6% to 6.1%.
At the same time the Provincial unemployment rate decreased to 8.7% both unadjusted for seasonality.
This translated into an employment increase in the Region of 3300 with full time gains offsetting part-time losses.
This shows that the economic recovery and resilience in Region even in light of the third provincial lockdown still bein in effect.
