With a provincial election now looming, the Association of Municipalities of Ontario has launched a public campaign around getting clear commitments from all provincial parties to enhance quality of life in the community.
The campaign dubbed Vote Like Your Quality of Life Depends On It is looking to ensure voters know what level of provincial support their municipalities need to deliver the quality of life they expect.
The campaign is putting a focus on three areas including tackling homelessness, investing in local infrastructure to build housing and curbing reliance on municipal property taxes to fund provincial responsibilities.
