The Avon Maitland District School Board recently put their students technical and craft skills on display in its first of its kind skills competition.
Hosted at Listowel District Secondary School, the event saw seven students from four different high schools compete in welding and carpentry competitions.
Students from LDSS, St Marys DCVI, GDCI and Stratford District Secondary all took part.
Among some standouts include Leland Gile from LDSS who notched a top spot and puts him in a qualifying competition at Fanshawe on April 13th.
Mac Frey and Kiyran Coulter also secured a spot in the Team of 2 Carpentry provincial competition on May 7th.
