The Avon Maitland District School board is ready to welcome back students in just a few weeks.
As most students will be back for in person instruction certain guidelines have been released to ensure the safety of both staff and students for the year.
Elementary school protocols will be very similar to what was done last year with students being screened for COVID-19 symptoms before attending class, wearing masks and regular breaks for hand hygiene.
Secondary schools will have the same health and safety in place such as masks but instead of having 1 course a day as done last year, 2 courses a day will be done with 1 in the morning and another in the afternoon.
