The Avon-Maitland District Schoolboard is hosting their 2nd annual mental health symposium tomorrow.
The symposium, YOU MATTER2 tackles student mental health, something this year will be highlighted more than ever during a pandemic. The event was held in January last year and as plans and strategies were working on being implemented and evaluated everything was shutdown as COVID-19 swept across the province and all education was shifted online.
The event will allow around 250 students from grade 6-12 to take part online. The symposium will continue the work on developing mental health projects and hear from guest speakers.
The event will also help promote Bell Lets Talk Day on January 28th.
