The Avon Maitland District School Board is looking for partners for before and after school programs.
While many schools do provide a space to offer such services, there is a shortage of childcare providers to meet these needs in some schools.
Schools include Brookside, Hullett Central, Centennial and Downie Central in need of programs to provide in school before and after childcare.
Cheri Carter, Superintendent of Education says every year as required they survey families to assess their need for childcare and results have shown there are not enough spots for everyone who needs them.
