One of the biggest issues facing a renter when trying to become a home owner is coming up with the down payment.
The City of Stratford hopes to assist in making home ownership a reality as they re-open their Affordable Home ownership Program to applications from current renters located in Stratford, Perth County and St. Marys.
The program assists qualified low to moderate income households with down payment assistance loan of up to 5% of the purchase price.
There are income and purchase price limits in place for applications with the program.
