The Ontario government is providing $1.1 million dollars in additional funds in support of the province’s agricultural and horticultural societies impacted by Covid-19.
The government is providing up to $5,000 for each eligible agricultural society and up to $1,500 for each eligible horticultural society equal to their 2019 grants.
This they say is to ensure sustainability in agriculture and foster vibrant rural economies.
This funding follows $5 million invested in the same organizations in January of 2021 to help offset the impact of cancelled events in 2020.
