More details are being provided as students are set to return to the classroom on Monday.
Parents will no longer be notified regarding any concerns about COVID-19 in their child’s school until around 30 percent are absent however parents will still have access to data on the absent rate prior to the notification.
Officials say once a principal identifies 30 per cent of a student body absent on any given day, the principal can then contact public health and have a general advisory letter sent home.
Data on the absentee rate in their child’s school will be available for parents to access as of January 24th.
