The Aboyne Rural Hospice is getting a boost for 6 new beds as part of an investment from the province.
MPP Matthew Rae says seniors help build communities and this investment will allow more people in rural Wellington County to receive the end of life care closer to home.
The expansion comes from a $19.75 million capital investment to add 84 new adult hospice beds in the province and bringing the total number of publicly funded hospice beds to 768.
The Ministry of Health is working with the hospice to complete early planning and design for the project.
