Over 1000 speeding charges were laid over the Labour Day long weekend by OPP across the West Region.
This year’s safety campaign once again focused on the big four of bad driving behaviors such as aggressive driving, failure to wear a seat belt, distracted driving and impaired driving.
Between September 4th-7th, OPP across the West Region laid 1004 speeding charges, 172 seat belt infractions, 52 for impaired driving, 37 for stunt driving and 11 for distracted driving.
OPP say they remain committed to ensuring the safety of Ontario’s roads and highways year round.
