The province is dishing out over $2 million for the Stratford Festival Theatre.
The funding from the Ontario Arts Council will help empower local artists, support jobs and help community arts organizations thrive.
The grant is being award through the council’s Major Organizations Contribution Agreements program which provides operating support to major arts organizations which are significant to their sectors and regions through their artistic activity.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says this investment will allow Stratford Festival to continue delivering world class performances while supporting tourism, creating good jobs and generating economic benefits for Stratford and Perth County.
