One person has been charged with firearms being seized which all began over an intimate partner violence investigation.
On July 9th at around 9am, Wellington County OPP along with multiple police units executed a search warrant at a home in Wallenstein in relation to a weapons investigation.
The search dug up five firearms and assorted ammunition.
As a result, a 67 year old of Wallenstein has been charged with Careless Storage of a Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
The accused was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
