Former MPP Margarette Rae Morrison Luckock has been honoured with a provincial plaque.
Wellington North and the Ontario Heritage have dedicated the plaque to Margarette, one of the first two women to be elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario who was raised in Arthur.
MPP Matthew Rae shared his thanks to Margarette’s great grand daughter, Georgia Rae Luckock who read the plaque dedication and celebrated this important piece of Ontario history.
The unveiling showcased her lasting legacy and the path which helped pave for women in leadership across Ontario.
