The Listowel Memorial Hospital is welcoming its newest Physician.
Dr. Arooba Talat is joining the Listowel Clinic as a Family Physician and support care through a regular rotation in the emergency department starting July 1st.
Dr. Talat earned her medical degree in Pakistan and brings a strong foundation of international medical training who has been part of the Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance recruitment pipeline since 2022 when she completed a medical observer-ship in Listowel and Wingham.
Dr. Talat says her earliest experiences in Listowel and Wingham made a strong impression and over time, working in both the clinic and emergency department confirmed this was the kind of community where she wanted to build her practice and care for patients over the long term.
Within the last two years, the hospital alliance has recruited three new primary care physicians and two specialty physicians.
