Listowel District Secondary School will be the site for the 2nd annual North Perth Cultural Unity Festival.

Taking place on May 6th, the event aims at celebrating the rich diversity of the community showing off different cultures.

On top of different stations featuring games, crafts, music, clothing and sports, food trucks will also be on site at the event.

Activities are being hosted by students at LDSS as well as Westfield, Eastdale, Mornington, Elma, Milverton and Howick.

Henna Patel, an organizer for the Unity Festival says this is a great event to explore other cultures, enjoying food, playing sports and learning.

“It’s a great time to showcase who you are and maybe dressing up in traditional clothes, some people do that during the festival. Regular clothing is also fine and just having fun, hopefully the weather is great s we’ll have sports going on.” said Patel.

The North Perth Cultural Unity Festival runs May 6
th from 4-8pm at the high school.
