Wellington North has named Derek Moore as Wellington North’s Senior of the Year.
For over 50 years, Moore has quietly shaped community life in Mount Forest and championed the well being of veterans going just beyond Wellington North.
Moore has worked to making sure the Mount Forest Legion remains as a welcoming and vibrant community hub which supports youth organizations, fundraising efforts and service programs which benefit residents across the township.
Mayor Andy Lennox says Moore’s compassion, steady leadership and unwavering commitment to service have left a lasting impact locally and across Ontario.
