The City of Stratford is warning residents of a text scam going around affecting the public regarding unpaid parking tickets.
City officials say they are aware of these texts attempting to get those to settle supposed parking tickets, something not unique to Stratford as its been used in the past across Canada.
Officials say the City of Stratford will never send a text about outstanding parking tickets and that you cannot pay for a ticket through texts.
Suspected fraud is encouraged to be reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
