Wellington Terrace is seeing more and more younger residents come into their care.
In a committee report, Wellington Terrace currently has those aged 50-108 in their care and over the last 5-10 years those in their care have become more diverse, complex in needs but also in age.
Residents between the ages of 50-75 has nearly doubled to around 15 per cent of the home’s population.
Terrace staff has embraced this change and they continue to prioritize specialized individual and group programming that is driven by the younger residents.
Suzanne Dronick, Wellington Terrace LTCH Administrator in her report says its their goal to create an environment for young residents that is fulfilling and feels like home.
