The release of the swans in Stratford is seeing a change this year.
The annual release, while still going forward will move in a different direction aimed to reduce stress on the swans as they leave their winter quarters and make the seasonal return to open water.
The birds will be returned to Lake Victoria when the weather is appropriate to do so.
Officials say they understand some will still want to watch the annual release with more details being provided as they are available.
