It was quite the honour for Centre Wellington with George Borovilos, the former Economic Development Manager for the township getting the highest honour for his line of work.
George was given the Joseph A Montgomery Economic Development Achievement Award.
This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated leadership and excellence in economic development through their careers.
The township says George’s approach shows that economic development is about more than business attraction, its about people, collaboration and creating resilient, inclusive and forward looking communities.
