A 50 year old is facing charges after a person in distress call in Elmira.
On January 28th at around 12:15pm, Wellington County OPP responded with multiple units to an incident at an address in Elmira for one person in distress.
A 50 year old of Elmira has been charged with Pointing a Firearm, Uttering Threats and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
While in custody the accused was aggressive, causing minor injuries to an officer and the accused further charged with Assaulting an Officer who was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
