Listowel’s Scrapbook Shop is joining multiple crafting stores in North America on Saturday for World Fussy Cutting Day, honouring a beloved member of the crafting community.

The day remembers Sharon Kilmar, the owner of Buffalo Stamps who is known for her creativity, compassion and love of fussy cutting, an art of carefully cutting a specific and intentional part of patterned fabric to be the centerpiece of a project.

At the Scrapbook Shop, a Pizza Crop event will run from 10:30am-10:30pm with 100 per cent of table fees already been donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Alana McEachern, owner of the Scrapbook Shop says this day is going worldwide for celebrating.

“There’s a store called Sir Stamps a Lot in the United Kingdom, there’s a bunch in the United States, I was just reading a post about a couple designers in the United States talking about it. There’s a lot going on, everywhere!” said McEachern.

Further, 10 per cent of all sales in store and online on Saturday will be donated with a goal to reach $2500.
