Wellington County is sending their thanks to the teachers and students across the county who took part in the Green Legacy, Seeds in the Classroom program.
The Green Legacy program has hosted thousands of students at nurseries to offer hands on learning for schools within the Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic School Board.
This year saw over 9000 acorns be planted this year and after being cared for two months in the classrooms the red oak seedlings have been returned to the nursery where they will continue to grow and be distributed to the community next Spring.
