Stratford Police have charged 5 individuals with a total of 48 charges stemming from an investigation which led to the seizure of drugs and weapons.
In 2024 the Stratford Police Street Crime Unit began an investigation into the trafficking of controlled substances in the city and surrounding municipalities.
This year, police partnered with the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario and launched Project Weston.
In May, 4 search warrants were executed in Stratford and Waterloo with various weapons and drugs being seized.
The value of the drugs held a street value of over $100,000.
Five individuals, a 24 year old man of Waterloo, 47 year old woman of Stratford, 22 year old woman of Waterloo, 37 year old man of Stratford and 27 year old woman of Stratford hit 48 charges.
