Supporting the purchase of a Stryker transport wheelchair, the Royal Canadian Legion in Arthur has donated towards the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

The Legion has long been a support of the hospital with funds to support veteran health care through their Poppy Fund grants program.

This month the Legion made a $2000 donation to the hospital for the wheelchair. The Stryker transport wheelchair is a vital piece of equipment to help staff comfortably transport patients who are unable to ambulate safely on their own.

The foundation says they were grateful for the gift which will support the healthcare of veterans and others in the community.
