A 34 year old man is facing charges after cutting down conservation trees.
On March 31st Huron County OPP received a mischief call to a forested area owned by the Maitland Valley Conservation Area near Victoria and Helena Streets in North Huron.
It was reported 27 mature trees had been cut down prior to March 31st with a log home having been built in the same area.
The value of the loss is put at $27,000. Police later identified a suspect who was arrested on April 13th.
A 34 year old of no fixed address was charged with Mischief Over $5000 and will appear in court at a later date.
